Poem: Helpless War

Though my fortitude may rise
Far above and beyond
What the duties of common loyalties
Camaraderie and lovers paths
May call for valiance and duty
I have warred for you
In ways I refused to for others
I believed in you
I ways I couldn't another
But I can't prove to you
That you deserve to be loved
I can't tell you
That you are good
When all you see is evil
I can't give you my eyes to see
What I and others can see
I can't prove to you that dreams
Are things meant for you to grasp
When all you feel fit for is solitary confinement
I can't do these things
When the war you fight
Is interior and emotionally self destructing

WOW! I could identify with you as the writer. So many times I have been in the situation, of being the ear for the person who just wants/can't find any other way to express themselves, other than in a negative light. Basically, pity parties. :P Very well put!
