Review

"I'm fairly convinced that we have discovered life on Mars. There are some incredible photographs [from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory], which to me are pretty convincing proof of the existence of large forms of life on Mars! Have a look at them. I don't see any other interpretation."—Sir Arthur C. Clarke"I've seen the studies and I've seen the photographs—and there do appear to be formations of a 'face' and 'pyramids' [on Mars] that do not appear to be of natural or normal existence. It looks like they had to be fashioned by some intelligent beings. For this reason, I have asked NASA to provide assurances that the Mars Observer mission include this [set of targets] as one of its imaging objectives."—Robert A. Roe, former Chairman, Congressional House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology"Richard Hoagland has really been very successful [in The Monuments of Mars] because, as you know, not only do we have the Mars Observer coming up, but he has managed to convince the President [George Walker Bush] to state that a return to Mars is one of our major goals."—Dr. John Klineberg, former Director, NASA-Lewis Research Center"I'm sure you're aware of the extremely grave potential for cultural shock and social disorientation contained in this present situation, if the facts were prematurely and suddenly made public without adequate preparation and conditioning."—Heywood Floyd, Head, The National Council of Astronautics, 2001

Are we the product or leftovers from another more advanced civilization? Was our solar system engineered? Is our moon, 2 of the moons of Mars and a moon of Saturn artificial? Is the tetrahedron at the center ofplanetary physics (that pesty 19.5 degree angle)? Can all of interesting stuff be found at 19.5* north andsouth of the equator (Mauna Loa and the pyramids on earth, Face of Mars on Mars, Big Spot on Jupiter)?Richard's book can not answer all of these questions. What is discussed is the face of Mars and otherstructures on the surface of Mars (pyramids) and the analysis behind the pronouncements . There are photos in the book of the various structures, but the newer online satellite images should give a better view. What is also discussed is the don't ask, don't tell NASA policy about anything out of this world, that was crafted in the 1950sand still carries on today. This discussion leads into a question of whether there are 2 NASAs, one that we arefamiliar with, and another that works in the dark and cleans up images and video before they are released tothe public. The book also covers the struggles the author has had with NASA - both good and bad. The badrevolves around the face(s) of Mars and the possible interpretations between rock and light tricksand an set of actual artifacts on Mars. NASA 's updated flyover and image of the Face(s) thatwas really trashed using computer de-enhancement. By comparison, ESA's image, that you canfind on-line, looks totally different (google Face of Mars). So, is it science fiction or possibly fact? The reader has to make that decision. Thought provoking to saythe least.

Mr. Hoagland's book is revealing in all honesty what Brooking Institute is performing government research. In its report in 1960s, the Brooking Institute wrote, "The report has become noted for one short section titled, "The implications of a discovery of extraterrestrial life," which examines the potential implications of such a discovery on public attitudes and values. The section briefly considers possible public reactions to some possible scenarios for the discovery of extraterrestrial life, stressing a need for further research in this area. It recommends continuing studies to determine the likely social impact of such a discovery and its effects on public attitudes, including study of the question of how leadership should handle information about such a discovery and under what circumstances leaders will find it advisable to withhold such information from the public." When we trust our teenagers to be responsible while driving. We can handle the truth about the existence other being. All the Holy Books do confirm that such beings do exist. The Brooking Institute does not think we can handle the truth, when the Lord God thinks we can. Whom do we believe God or human? The answer is God. Wonderful book for anyone who wants to know the truth.

had a hard time being convinced that the photos showed nothing but rocks except perhaps the Face structure.

this is a very big book and takes a long time to read, it also gets very technical in science terms .still a fascinating book. photos included.

One I first saw this book around 1989 I was skeptical. I remarked to myself: "How gullible do they think we are?" BUT, after reading it, I was annoyed at NASA for not taking the face on Mars seriously. Richard C. Hoagland is one of the finest scientists alive. He has largely been self-taught, so was not corrupted by the mainstream thinking so prevalent at colleges and universities around the world.

The Monuments Of Mars - A City On The Edge Of Forever by Richard C. Hoagland is a phenomenal expedition into much maligned subject of space oddities du jour.Predictably, the subject of Mars and evidence of ruins in space of an ancient civilization is one of those subjects that polarizes people between the devout believers, and the skeptics. Regardless of what people believe, however, Hoagland takes an incisive approach in outlining all the data he and his colleagues have collated that reveal that NASA has undertaken a cover up of enormous proportions.Hoagland searches for artificial evidence from places such as "The Face" of Mars, which was discovered by the Viking Mission, and also gives an in-depth look at Cydonia. In these locales he finds geometrically precise anomalies that should not be there whatsoever.Whether one agrees with Hoagland or not, his reasoned and logical approach is coherent, cogent, and exceptionally academic in its precision. This man [and a whole community of researchers] has found enormous amounts of compelling data that should be taken quite seriously about the artificiality in places like Mars, the Moon, Iapetus and more. The author also makes a substantial case in connecting the Egyptian Great pyramid to Mars. That in and of itself should be quite troublesome, because, as the author notes:"...what were the random probabilities that there would exist two isolated worlds, both with "pyramids" and "sphinxes," and now, that the one site on this planet where the most perfect, most archtypal forms still stand - Cairo - would also form the key linguistic bridge that links those worlds...!?"[1][Bold Emphasis Added]Synchronistically enough, Cairo means Mars in arabic. How about thoseapples pyramids? In its totality, this is a book that should have flipped everything we know about history, space, and more, on its face [no pun intended]. Of course, predictably, that didn't happen.Which was quite predictable given that the mainstream media is utterly controlled by a handful of corporations - literally [Click Here For More].That's why it's up to individuals on the grassroots level to examine the book by themselves, and come up to their own conclusions. That's one of the only ways we as a society are going to get at the core of the truth.Hoagland's breathtaking venture into the fringe has definitely located some data gems that should taken quite seriously and examined at the minimum. If only a sliver of what he says is true, everything in the history of mankind changes forever.Kindest Regards,Zy MarquiezTheBreakaway.wordpress.com______________________________________________________________Source:[1] Richard C.
