John Bunyan (1628-1688) nació en Elstow, Inglaterra, y su vida fue salvada en dos ocasiones en sus primeros años, algo que él creÃa que Dios habÃa hecho con un propósito especial. En noviembre 1660, cuando Bunyan llegó para predicar a la pequeña ciudad de Lower Samsell, le informaron de que se habÃan emitido una orden para detenerle. Al no estar dispuesto a condenar su vida cristiana y su llamado al ministerio, fue encarcelado durante doce años. Entre los muchos escritos que publicó durante su encarcelamiento están The Holy City, Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners, y el más famoso, The Pilgrim's Progress (El progreso del peregrino). John Bunyan (1628-1688) was born in Elstow, England, and his life was spared twice in his early years, something he believed God had done for a special purpose. In November 1660, when Bunyan arrived to preach in the little town of Lower Samsell, he was informed that a warrant had been issued for his arrest. Unwilling to denounce his Christian faith and his calling to the ministry, he was imprisoned for twelve years. Among the many writings he published during his imprisonment are The Holy City, Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners, and the most famous, The Pilgrim's Progress.

Lo leà en la versión digital para Kindle.Me pareció fantástico como el autor nos hace ver como es el caminar del cristiano, sus luchas, sus victorias; En una forma fácil de entender y lo describe a manera de cuento o mas bien una novela.Este se ha convertido en uno de mis favoritos y lo he leÃdo dos veces.Lo recomiendo!
Una verdadera joya literaria que explica el plan salvífico de Dios a tráves de potentes y a la vez gráficas alegorías.
Este es uno de los libros mas importantes de la literatura cristiana. Una obra que simboliza lo que es la vida del cristiano, todas las dificultades que se encuentran en el camino y como Dios nos va guiando y poniendo a la gente adecuada en el camino.
Un libro que todo cristiano deberia leer, pues esta lleno de alegorias y enseñanzas. Creo que al leerlo se comprenden las vivencias de todo cristiano y los obstaculos que debe superar.
Al final aclaran que es una versión condensada, aunque personalmente igual lo recomiendo tocará conseguir la versión completa en un futuro.
Muy resumido, pero con la esencia del original. El camino a la salvación lleno de desafÃos, pero por la gracia divina el cristiano lo sigue hasta la patria Celestial. Gracias por publicarlo.

It's a depiction of our Christian life from start to end, the journey, the ups and downs... Everything is in this book.The story is easy to ready and follow, but it correlates to everything written in the bible.
