I love this book. I bought this for my son when he was little and he adored it, and now it's one of my daughter's favorites. I purchased this while I was living in the South for a period of time, and there was no recycling available in the city. I purchased some recycling books so I could still teach my son about recycling, and this was definitely his favorite.The illustrations in this book are eye-catching and nicely done, and the story is entertaining and was able to hold my kid's attention. At the end of the book after the story, there is this really great page where it discusses "you part" and what you can do to help the environment.Fast forward 5 years, my son takes recycling and composting VERY seriously :)
My son read this book at school. He loved the books so much that he asked me to order it for him. It's a great book with great lessons for kids about recycling.
Great age-appropriate book for young children to increase awareness of why we should recycle.
I read this with my kindergartener at his doctor's office. It was in their waiting room. We then read it to his classroom. The children loved it so, we donated the book to the teacher's stash.
Michael Recycle is a "must have" for all first grade classes involved in National Green Week. The hard cover book is oversized which makes it great for a group share. The story, written in a rhyme similar to the Night Before Christmas, tells the tale of a green super hero named Michael who travels from town to town teaching communities the importance of recycling. I love it and my class does too!
This great book is a fantastic way to celebrate earth day. We got it to share our love of the earth with our grandson, but I would love to get one for my classroom as well! The cute rhyme and Michael Recycle hero can help anyone get started caring for the planet with lots of simple ideas to help your community.
I work in the recycling field and always find it hard to find a creative story about recycling for kids. They don't need to need to know the facts and figures. This is a very cute story my kids love and I bought one for each of their classrooms this year. I will highly recommend to others.
I love this book. I bought it for my three-year old nephew, whose mom works in the industry after seeing my cousin read it to her third-grade class. It's a great story and very inspiring. They also offer a few sequels. It's a cool, modern book.
