When you are looking for the Simplicity or better yet the "how to" of following Christ - This is the book!!I'm not sure if it's timing ... but as they say - when the student is ready the teacher appears.It's not coincidence, I know,God put this book in my hands so that I could be one of his disciples. It's a lesson on being comfortable with loving him and sharing his life with others. I've been grieved about the lack of commitment in our church to prayer. A friend and I have tried starting prayer ministries only to end up mostly fruitless. We've never been trained in how to go about starting a group, but I look forward to implementing this simple method. Dan's simplistic approach to practical ministry definitely flies in the face of the business models I've noticed church using today. It's very simple and I hope to see the Lord use this for His glory in our church. Very thankful to have come across this book.
I thought this was going to be a book about prayer , but it is way more than that. Dan lays out a plan for small groups of only 4 people that include worship, prayer, Bible study and sharing with others. These groups can be family devotions with children, with people of any age, and even unbelievers that are on their way to find Jesus.
This book was worth my time to be the first book I've read for 2017. I gave this book 5 stars because of its simplicity. A very clear description of the Great Commandment of how to love God with all thy heart, soul, mind, and strength. I recommend this book to anyone who needs love in their heart.
Loved this book! The author gentle nudges the reader to restore what is broken in their own spiritual walk, and for me that was so refreshing and necessary. Loved every page and couldn't recommend this highly enough for everyone seeking something fresh.
The author has written another excellent book in simple form that reveals many truths that any one can understand and apply to his/her life. These truths of worship in practice will strengthen disciples lives and bring salvation to others. This book was a blessing to read and highly recommended.
I chose this rating because of how guidebooks written Mr. Lancaster included illustrations of how to put ones self into away to worship sincerely and truthfully.
