Daniel has this to say about his new book: This book was four years in the making and it’s very close to my heart. To me it’s about being present and experiencing life fully, centering on a quiet understanding between two animals that grows into a close friendship. My publisher and I worked really hard on this project and it was a fun, challenging, and ultimately really satisfying experience. I think that I am more proud of this book than anything I’ve made. My mom read picture books to me when I was a kid. She passed away when I was 6 years old and this book is dedicated to her.

This gentle, kind book is very special. The illustrations reflect the peaceful nature of the characters and are truly beautiful. The story is about the friendships that come from having an open heart and joy that can be found all around us when we take the time to be quiet and enjoy nature's gifts. I love this book.

I honestly didn't think this book would appeal to my 3 year old. He's a fast-paced, perpetual-motion machine. But there is something just so calming and engaging about this simple story. I love how tangible the imagery is. It really teaches children to stop and appreciate their surroundings for what they are.Head's up, though. My husband for some reason thought this was a board book. If you're at all confused, it's not! It's hard cover and paper pages, meaning that it runs the risk of some ripping with toddler use.Pro Tip - My toddler now loves to play "Wolf and Bear." We each pick a character and recite their part of the story. So sweet!

5 stars for the book! Beautiful illustration with peacful and warm story.Sadly, they treated the product so bad. The dust jacket is sticky and dirty after I remove the stickers difficulty.

I liked the beautiful illustrations, and the empathy teaching technique of reversing perspectives (to help demonstrate unique personhood to kids). Really lovely!

My kids love the art and the animals are their favorites. The story isn’t the best, super simple but it’s a nice wintery addition to our homeschool.

As a parent, I also like the these of friendship that run through the story.Happy to add another great book to our collection.
